WORDTheatreUK is a charitable organisation on a mission to foster a love of language and literature by harnessing the power of the oral storytelling tradition. We aim to  inspire both student and adult audiences with performances by esteemed actors and musicians that bring to life compelling stories by renowned authors. Reflecting the colorful, complicated and fascinating world we live in, curated events invite people to “step into the story” and walk for a time in another person’s shoes.  Connecting people across the globe by engendering feelings of empathy and compassion for others, we aim to make a better world one story at a time.

On the evening of 6 March 2025, Dame Harriet Walter, DBE, will be joined by a remarkable group of actresses to perform a theatrical adaptation of her book, SHE SPEAKS! WHAT SHAKESPEARE'S WOMEN MIGHT HAVE SAID..., published by Virago. Enjoy Shakespeare’s women as they demand centre stage in this special performance, giving voice to brilliant, profound and hilarious, alternative insights and female perspectives in gorgeously constructed verse, sonnets and prose. The all-star cast includes Juliet Stevenson, Leah Harvey, Meera Syal, MyAnna Buring, Olivia Williams and violinist Lizzie Ball. Curated & directed by Cedering Fox, WORDTheatre® Founder & Artistic Director. Produced with Fane and The Old Vic.
